Chablis Grand Cru Les Clos 2013
Source : Antonio Galloni - Vinous - 25/06/2014
89-91/100. In this vintage , the 2013 Chablis Les Clos is a bit marked by oak, which is presently covering the fruit and also attenuates the finish. It is obviously very early for a wine from this Grand Cru site, though, so we will see what time brings.

91-93/100. (aged entirely in barrels): Bright yellow. Discreet, precise aromas of orange zest, apple, quinine, mint and crushed stone. Dense, saline and concentrated, communicating an almost glyceral richness that I don't normally associate with this vintage. Finishes with a youthful edge and a note of sweet oak. Francois Servin noted that his grand crus can be aged in up to one-third new oak. He told me he has had good luck in recent years with new Boutes barrels from Bordeaux, but added that he was not able to purchase once-used barrels in Burgundy for aging his 2013s.
