Chablis 1er Cru Montée de Tonnerre 2013
Source : Antonio Galloni - Vinous - 25/06/2014
88-90/100. The 2013 Chablis Montée de Tonnerre is a little bit brighter than the Mont de Milieu. Lemon, grapefruit, crushed rocks, mint and slate all jump from the glass in this soft, relatively accessible Montée de Tonnerre. A subtle note of petrol develops over time, adding further nuance. This is one of the more overt, up-front wines Montée de Tonnerre I tasted in 2013.

89-91/100. (the crop level here was just 26 hectoliters per hectare and the grapes were golden-yellow, noted Marc Cameron): Pale yellow color. Slightly exotic cast to the lemon, ginger, liquorice and wet stone aromas. Intensely flavored but a touch sour and inexpressive today, with strong underlying minerality. Longer than the Mont de Milieu but I wanted more fruit. This too appears to be in a disjointed stage.
