Chablis 1er Cru Montée de Tonnerre 2015
Source : Antonio Galloni - Vinous - 09/06/2016
89/100. (bottled in May): Fresh lime and a deeper-pitched suggestion of exotic fruits on the nose. Fairly large-scaled and broad but less expressive on the palate than on the nose, and tougher going today on the slightly bitter, lemon-edged finish. Softened with air without really losing its dry edge: I wanted more sweetness. This is actually from a small first bottling that was necessary because the estate had no more 2014 Monteé de Tonnerre in the market; the rest will be bottled toward the end of the year. I would not be at all surprised if the later bottling benefited from more time on its lees.
